Football Superstar Sticker Scene

This month as part of Parragon’s book buddy club we received a fun-filled activity book, Football superstar sticker scene.

It is full of great activities and 8 bright interactive all-action football scenes with over 90 stickers that will keep children busy at home and on the go. The pages are spread out nicely inside and well illustrated. I like the way this book is laid out. It’s perfect if both Isabelle and Scarlett decide they want to recreate the match scenes together, it means they can both have a section each.

What’s the time, Mr Wolf?

What’s the time, My Wolf? is a very popular game with Scarlett at home and at school. A few weeks ago I was walking through town passed a book shop and I noticed this book in the window ‘What’s the time, Mr Wolf? by Debi Gliori. An enchanting story inspired by the well-known playground game.

Pinkabella and Me! Journal Set by Parragon

As part of the Parragon book buddy club we recently received this cute Pinkabella and Me! Journal Set.

Reading with Kids

Reading is a fun part of our daily routine and has been since the girls were little.

Reading is about how you make it and it is so important for us to keep reading fun and interesting for Isabelle and Scarlett, so they continue to enjoy reading rather than hearing ‘Do I have to read again?’

 I recently bought Scarlett some Biff, Chip & Kipper books as she starts school this September. They are designed to help children learn to read basic words which is perfect for when she starts school. I can remember when Isabelle used to read these books and she learnt some basic words just before she started.

 They are books with lively stories and funny illustrations created by reading experts and based on teaching practice.

Encyclopedia of Everything – Review

Encyclopedia of Everything is a fantastic book by Parragon.

Parragon are a publishing company who provide books of high-quality, engaging content at great prices. They cover a wide range of areas such as cookbooks, adult non-fiction, children’s books and licensed character books.

I am so impressed with the Encyclopedia of Everything. It represents everything around us, includes amazing facts, over 500 colourful and amazing photographs with clear information. From the vast universe to the tiny bugs of the animal kingdom, from history to the modern art, science to religious beliefs, this book includes everything you would want to know.

Finger Puppet Books – Little Learners Range

We have just received two adorable books from the little learners range at Parragon, ‘Five Little Monkeys’ and ‘Old MacDonald had a farm.’ 

These are cute nursery rhyme board books spread over 6 pages. They are slightly different to the usual books, as they have a fun character finger puppet built into the rhyme. I love this idea as it encourages interactive play.

Sleepy Puppy Set (Little Learners Range) – Parragon Book Review

Very excited to announce as part of Parragon Book Buddy club we get to review a book each month. We received Sleepy Puppy Set from the little learners range this month.

Spaghetti with the Yeti – Book Review

The girls love their books and they were so happy when we were asked to review Spaghetti with the yeti by Adam & Charlotte Guillain and illustrated by Lee Wildish from Egmont UK.

George sets off up a mountain path with only a map, a woolly hat and a tin of spaghetti. Georges quest is to try and discover the Yeti. Along his exciting adventure he comes across different creatures who he thinks is Yeti, but is it the real Yeti?! Will George find this mysterious beast and will it like eating spaghetti? You will have to read this exciting book and find out if George completes his quest.
